Recycling

Information on recycling and the Battery Act

Many devices come with batteries or accumulators that are necessary for operation. In connection with the sale of these batteries or accumulators, we as distributors are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform our customers of the following: Used batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Consumers are legally obliged to take batteries to an appropriate collection point. You can return batteries and accumulators free of charge here: at a public collection point where batteries and accumulators are sold by mail to our shipping warehouse:

Used batteries contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. Batteries and accumulators are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can. The trash can means: Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste. The symbols under the trash cans stand for: Pb for lead; Cd for cadmium; Hg for mercury. These chemical symbols indicate that a certain threshold amount of the specified chemical substances is exceeded in this battery type:

  • Hg: more than 0.0005 percent by weight of mercury
  • Cd: more than 0.002 percent by weight of cadmium
  • Pb: more than 0.004 percent by weight of lead
